    Have used this establishment over the years (last time yesterday) always clean with good, friendly service. Can't fault the food at all! I can also take my dog in with me and as a nice touch 2 dog treats arrived on the tray with our food order See you next year!!!

    If I could give 0 stars then I would . We paid £7.50p each for what was supposed to be a crab sandwich .
    It seemed the knife had been dipped into a pot of crab paste and lightly smeared onto the bread . Absolutely disgraceful value . Around the corner is a takeaway where we purchase another crab sandwich for £4.10p . This was full of the white crab meat which is the best part and was delicious .
    I also heard more complaints about this place after we had been . As other reviews have said , the staff are far from welcoming  Would advise people to stay away as they're only concerned with ripping tourists off .

    Wanted to treat myself to a Devon Cream Tea last Friday 3/8/12 but the management and staff at The Spinning Wheel made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Our visit was at 3.30pm and they started closing at 3.45pm. They advertise that they offer Afternoon Teas then close! Staff sarcastically waving goodbye. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ATTITUDE TO CUSTOMERS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

    I would not ever go there again, as it states Fish and Chips outside, so we went in, and ordered Cod and Chips, with tea. A long wait for it to arrive, and it does so with a huge side salad with coleslaw attached, which I had removed. They said it was for presentation, and i said how about mushy peas? The fish was not very good at all, not that much of it, and probably from frozen. The chips were small and crunchy, and it came with a serving of tartare sauce, and a price of £24 for two for cod and chips and two cups of tea. Not good value. Expect much better fish and chips from so near the sea!
